"I called this office as a professional from another company in regards to a mutual customer. Jan is who answered the phone. I’m not sure what caused the issue, but we got disconnected twice. I proceeded to call back since I had a customer waiting for a rental vehicle and simply needed to verify insurance coverage. I was greeted with her telling me she doesn’t know what’s going on with the phones, but that she doesn’t have time to deal with me because she has customers and if it doesn’t work this time she’s done. I told her I was calling as a professional from another company and that I was not speaking to her in a rude manner, so I wasn’t sure why she was speaking to me that way. I told her it was very unprofessional as she is the face representing this company to speak the way she did in regard to me trying to help one of their customers. They state on their website they want you to be a part of their family and quite frankly this is no family I would ever want to be a part of if Jan is in it. Terrible representation for customer service."

State Farm et al.* (Ohio Supreme Court Case No. 2025-1257) is a disgrace to the profession. Minister Marquis L. Kimble—a respected Black business owner and licensed minister—was robbed. Instead of helping him recover, Lambert allegedly participated in a racially biased denial of coverage. "Had insurance with this agent for over 25 years. In 1999 they cancelled my auto insurance at my soon to be ex-wife's request after a judge ordered that she maintain the coverage. Called to explain the situation and was prepared to show them the order. Jeff refused to take my calls and his office staff told me sorry and that there was nothing they were willing to do and were quite rude. They didn't even want to set me up with a new policy. Ok fine. As result I just never held auto insurance with them again but the memory as to why stuck with me for years. I, however, Kept my homeowners policy through them just based on convenience. Then this past Saturday before New Years I got a letter stating they were not renewing my homeowners policy for failure to reply to a letter sent on November 18th. I never received a letter dated November 18th. You would think if a letter was important enough that a failed response would get your policy cancelled, it would come via certified mail. Anyhow, Called Sate Farm's 800 number and agent stated they had no record of either of the letters and that it was pretty much a mystery. He told me that my agent would be back in office on Jan 2nd at 9am and he will alert him to call me first thing on that day to rectify the issue. Three days later and I find that apparently my 25 years of business, with zero claims wasn't worth the effort of a phone call much less an explanation. My house could use a little paint but is otherwise in good condition with a brand new furnace and heat pump, 10 years left on the roof life. Thank goodness I never had to deal with a claim, who knows how that would have went. I would HIGHLY recommend staying clear of State Farm and especially THIS agent. Neither live up to their motto. If you need someone to be there when you need it, look elsewhere."
